Are there rental CD shops near Odawara Station??
Used the shinkansen to get here from Kyoto for a trip to hakone/mt. Fuji... Blisteringly hot day, while waiting for the bus, the bus ticket seller came around and handed us these small "impact activated" ice packs to keep us cool in the queue and while on the bus. Very nice place.
MoreBe careful, a Buddhist sect is preying for tourists to recruit to their sect at the station (usually near the ticket machines). If someone approaches you and try to get your attention, usually by greeting in English, just ignore and continue walking.
MoreGood area with much to do. The station has plenty also. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Thank you!
MoreGood
The Japanese are very polite & discipline when comes to queuing. A very good attitude to follow by others. I am impressed at their efforts to assist whenever possible event though some do not speak English
MoreExcellent place to view the Bullet train
Charming station with very helpful staff. Easy access from Tokyo with local and Shinkansen trains.
MoreIt was quite a busy station. Inside it has access to both Shinkansen and local trains. The bus station is right outside. There are two information counters on the second floor. You can get Hakone day passes and get helpful tips from the information counters. They do warn of any adverse weather conditions and and conditions that may affect the sites that you may want to visit.Staff us very helpful and there's plenty of directions in English.
MoreNice
Very clean and modern. Helpful and respectful staff.
Station near Mt Fuji that can take you to Tokyo city via bullet train (Shinkansen)
MoreVery nice station layout. Clean and efficient.
It’s Odawara station.
Very good station. Convenient for bullet trains to and from Tokyo/Kyoto/Osaka.
This is a great station to get to different parts of Japan and is very easy to use. The staff is awesome and there are enough conveniences to make your trip enjoyable. Odawara Eki rocks!
MoreThe JR staff at are the WORST staff I’ve ever dealt with. It’s shocking because JR is usually quite amazing. I come through here for work often, and am shocked with their rudeness.
MorePeaceful and mix environment like cold air, rainy ,and some times sunrays with surrounding beauty ,i arrived at this station from hiroshima via shinkansen bullet train ,then visited hakone by bus ,
MoreThis station is the gate way to Hakone sightseeing.
The is pretty awesome in red color and classic.
This Shinkansen ballet train station seems to be a little gentle and calm than the others. I went to Toyohashi the other day. I didn't like to use the Yokohamasen line from Mahida to Shin-Yokohama, so I boarded Odakyu line to the Odawara station. I took longer than using Yokohama line. However, I could feel gentle atmosphere in the station.
MoreNice station. Big lockers available, ideal if you need to drop off your luggage while visiting Hakone.
MoreA nice place to visit.
Just a beauty ... gateway to Hakone
It's a great place to stop for going around Hakone. The station has a small mall in case you forget to bring some warm clothing. We got the 2 day pass for going around Hakone here
MoreGreat tourist Ingo. Beautiful station.
A pit stop before heading to Hakone
Gateway into Hakone from Shinkansen
Odawara Station 🚅From here I will go to Odawara historic castle. The train was unbelievable so fast and comfortable. I was lucky to see it sped reached 297kmh for short distance.Provably takes 27 minutes less than expected.
MoreSo memorable
Big station, cute area, close to beautiful Japanese castle.
Well, as a main station of a tourist destinations that government are trying to attract as many as visitor as they can, they seemed to had less baggage storage then they should beInitially, we only know 3 of them and all are full, after crossing the street the information staff told us that there's one inside the station (there's no sign mentioning it inside of the station) we finally manage to had our baggages kept, but it's wasting our time dragging those baggage
MoreYo this station is sick. I didn’t actually get off the train to experience it’s charm but holy cannoli did I feel it. I definitely plan on coming back - mainly because I have to make the return trip back to Tokyo and boy am I excited!
MoreIf you are waiting for your bullet train, go to the platform early and watch other bullet trains wizz past! Great photo opportunity.
MoreThis station is great because you can see Shinkansen passing through at high speed. The choices in the convenience shops was very limited. I had no chance to find a decent ekiben.
MoreVery nice station. Most lockers are in use by 10am. Plan accordingly
This station is almost a worthy destination itself. The visitors center has information about the surrounding area in multiple languages, and there are various things to see and do related to the local culture
MoreBig signs indicating different lines. The real reason for 5 stars were the volunteer guides (who spoke exceptional English btw) who helped confirm we were purchasing the right tickets.
Moremajor transportation hub--starting station going to Hakone.
For hakone trip... important connecting station.
Best way to see great view of hydrangeas in June! ✌️✌️✌️
A big station and a major terminal having the the JR Line and the Odakyu line. It's easy to get help at the station. A lot of stores is at the station. There are a lot of restaurants nearby. There are a number of activities to do nearby.
MoreVery good place, nice station.
I only tried the green card, and it is very comfortable. Makes you sleepy 👌🏻And the staff are polite and supportive.
MoreOk
One of the most convenient stations.
Shinkansen station for Hakone area. Small and accessible. Hakone Free Pass (4000 yen / adult) gives you 2 days of unlimited train, bus, cable car, lake cruise... Taxi is right outside the station and it’s not that expensive (around 5-6K yen to Hakone). Taxi drivers are exceptionally skilful, so you can enjoy the exceptional view along the way.
MoreGo to hakosoba on the main floor and grab yourself some damn good noodles.very cheap.omg I eat here Everytime I'm visiting Hakone or Odawara. Do it! 10/10
MoreYou can take the hakone tozan train to start your hakone loop or board the buses. Two day passes can be bought here, there's a staff assigned to tourists who speaks English.
MoreWell maintained train station.
Nice
